Classes Saturday 1.45-3pm
Move into Wellbeing is a charitable organisation which provides enjoyable well-structured bespoke dance and exercise classes. These are carefully created for people with Parkinson’s Disease and with other mobility restrictions such as ME, MS, Arthritis, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Post-Stroke Recovery, and Rehabilitation from Disease or Injury.

A number of their founders are people familiar with and/or living with Parkinson’s. They have experienced first-hand the benefits of music and movement on their balance, co-ordination, confidence and general wellbeing and wish for others to have this positive opportunity.

Their weekly classes are devised and run by Ballet4Life.com, using specially trained and experienced teachers who have trained with Dance for PD®. The classes consist of a series of fun dance and movement exercises to music with an emphasis on different muscle groups, co-ordination, balance, flexibility, strength, rhythm, memory, and the use of the voice. All exercises can be performed seated and no previous experience of dance is necessary.

Move into Wellbeing has also taught for Integrated Neurological Services Charity in Twickenham, has offered a Taster to the Hanwell Parkinson’s UK Group, and was invited by Parkinson’s UK to give a talk and dance demonstration for their Hillingdon Group.

They are the only organisation of their kind in the area and they welcome anyone who may have interest to arrange to visit a class. First visit is only £5 and one partner/carer/friend is always welcome free of charge. Southfield Ward is currently reviewing their application for a small community grant as well to ensure their important work carries on for this community.
