Here at St Peter's the Salomé Quartet are joined by Shizuku Tatsuno to perform Schubert’s great late masterpiece, the String Quintet in C major, D.956.
The Salomé Quartet are quickly establishing a reputation as one of the UK’s most exciting young string quartets, described as ‘strikingly intelligent and expressive’ by The Strad.
They have performed at leading venues including Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, Cadogan Hall and Stauffer Centre, and appear regularly at festivals and concert series across the UK and abroad.
The quartet co-created and performed in the theatre production Dr Semmelweis, centred around Schubert’s Death and the Maiden, appearing on stage as an integral part of the multidisciplinary production. They performed in two sold-out runs (London West End 2023 & Bristol Old Vic 2022), with the show receiving multiple five-star reviews.
The quartet have been selected as Britten Pears Young Artists and are recipients of the Tunnell Trust Award.
