Death of an Inquisitor by Leonardo Sciascia tells the story of Fra Diego La Matina from Racalmuto, a little town near Agrigento in Sicily, who during the XVII century was accused of heresy, was imprisoned and tortured by the inquisition, until one day, driven by despair, he killed his torturer, his own inquisitor.
Morte di un inquisitore di Leonardo Sciascia ci racconta la storia di Fra Diego La Matina di Racalmuto in provincia di Agrigento in Sicilia, il quale nel ‘600 fu accusato di eresia, incarcerato e torturato dall’inquisizione, fino a quando portato all’esasperazione uccise il suo torturatore, lo stesso inquisitore.
